Shared Tour Bus Tours Duration: 8 hours

Discover the most important highlights of Naxos in one full-day joined tour, guided in Greek and English.

The tour starts at approximately 09:10 from Naxos port. Your first stop is the Temple of Demeter, an impressive ancient temple dating back to 530 BC, recently restored and beautifully located in the countryside. Apart from the monument, you will also have the chance to visit the archaeological museum located in the same area, where findings from the site are displayed.

The tour continues to Damalas, a small traditional village in the heart of Tragea Valley. There, you will enjoy a demonstration at the only remaining traditional pottery workshop and visit the restored traditional olive press.

Next stop is Chalki, a neoclassical village with picturesque alleys and a refined atmosphere. You can walk around the village, visit the traditional citron distillery and museum, and enjoy a coffee while taking in the local charm.

The journey continues to Apiranthos, the famous marble village of Naxos. Stroll through its marble-paved streets, admire the traditional architecture and enjoy plenty of photo opportunities.

After Apiranthos, the tour heads towards the northern part of the island, reaching Apollonas, a small Cycladic seaside village ideal for swimming, relaxing or enjoying a drink at one of the cafés by the sea.

On the way back, you will stop at the impressive Kouros statue, a colossal unfinished statue from the 6th century BC. The return route follows the north and northwest coast of Naxos, offering views of Agia Tower and the northern Cycladic islands before arriving back in Chora.
